On 1 September 2005, the Office of Fair Trading awarded their approval to the OCEA Code of Practice under the Office of Fair Trading's Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.

The OFT's aim is simple it is responsible for making markets work well for consumers. They achieve this by promoting and protecting consumer interests throughout the UK, while ensuring that businesses are fair and competitive.
