Selling a home in North & South Moreton

North and South Moreton are twin villages a couple of miles apart approximately 4 miles from Wallingford, separated by the Railway line.

North Moreton Is the smaller of the two, and is known for its pretty thatched cottages along Church Street. Its standout feature is All Saints Church, a Grade One listed building dating from the 13th Century. Today it has the ‘The Bear Inn’ as its local with a cricket pitch and pavilion behind. There is a weekday bus service to Didcot and its railway station.

Winterbrook

South Moreton Is slightly larger; it has a good community spirit- the Crown Inn was bought and reopened by the community in 2019 after a local fundraising campaign. A popular primary school on the main street. Architecturally it's a real mix, with Victorian estates, thatched cottages and some modern housing sitting side by side.

Together, the Moretons offer classic South Oxfordshire village character, historic churches, strong community identity, and easy access to Didcot's rail links- within easy striking distance of Wallingford.

With over 25 years’ experience in the area Winterbrook approaches each sale with a focus on clarity, careful presentation and targeted exposure, ensuring properties are introduced to the right audience. Over the years we have gained an understanding of the buyers seeking a property in the villages and their proximity to Wallingford and the station at Didcot Parkway (50 mins London Paddington).
